🦎 Our Story

Every reptile has a story.
Ours started long before Baynton’s Reptiles had a name.

It Started With Respect

For us, reptiles were never just “pets”.

They were animals that demanded patience.
Animals that taught responsibility.
Animals that rewarded those willing to learn instead of rushing.

From the very beginning, we were drawn to reptiles not because they were easy — but because they weren’t. Keeping them properly required research, observation, trial, error, and time. And that challenge became a passion.

Long before we sold our first animal or product, we were already invested — learning behaviour, refining husbandry, and building environments where reptiles didn’t just survive, but genuinely thrived.

From Passion to Purpose

As our experience grew, so did the realisation that many reptiles weren’t failing because people didn’t care — they were failing because people weren’t taught properly.

We saw rushed sales.
We saw poor advice.
We saw animals paying the price.

Baynton’s Reptiles was created to be the opposite of that.

Not volume-driven.
Not trend-focused.
Not built on shortcuts.

We built Baynton’s Reptiles with the intention of doing things the right way, even when that meant saying no, slowing down, or taking extra time with customers.

This isn’t just a business to us — it’s a reflection of our values, our ethics, and our responsibility to the animals we work with.

Why We Do What We Do

We believe reptiles deserve:

Proper care

Honest information

Thoughtful ownership

Respect at every stage of their life

And we believe customers deserve:

Transparency

Support

Real advice from real keepers

Confidence in where their animals and products come from

Every decision we make — from breeding practices to product selection — is filtered through one question:

Would we be comfortable with this choice if the animal were staying with us?

If the answer isn’t yes, we don’t do it.

Growing the Right Way

As Baynton’s Reptiles continues to grow, our vision remains clear.

We’re expanding beyond live reptiles into:

High-quality reptile supplies

Aquarium products

Carefully selected pet essentials

But growth, to us, doesn’t mean losing our identity.
It means offering better options, better education, and better standards to more people.

We will never be the biggest — and we’re okay with that.
Our goal has always been to be trusted, respected, and responsible.

🛡 Our Commitment to Animal Welfare

(Trust section retained near the bottom, as requested)

Animal welfare isn’t a feature of Baynton’s Reptiles — it’s the foundation.

Every reptile in our care is:

Properly housed

Correctly fed

Carefully monitored

Handled with patience and respect

When reptiles are transported, we use airport-to-airport air freight only, ensuring minimal transit time and maximum care. If conditions aren’t right, shipments are delayed — no exceptions.

No sale is ever worth compromising an animal’s wellbeing.
