At Baynton’s Reptiles, the safety, welfare, and ethical transport of animals and products is our highest priority. This Shipping Policy outlines how orders are processed and delivered, including specific information relating to live animal transport within Australia.

🛒 Order Processing (Products & Supplies)

  • Orders for reptile supplies, aquarium products, and accessories are typically processed within 1–3 business days after payment confirmation.

  • Orders are shipped directly from our Australian-based suppliers to ensure faster delivery times and reduced transit risk.

  • Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.

🚚 Shipping Timeframes (Products)

Estimated delivery times within Australia:

  • Standard Shipping: 2–7 business days

  • Regional or Remote Areas: Delivery times may be extended depending on location and courier service availability

Please note that delivery times are estimates only and may be affected by courier delays, weather conditions, or peak shipping periods.

🦎 Live Animal Shipping

Baynton’s Reptiles adheres strictly to Australian animal welfare standards and best-practice reptile transport procedures.

Live animals are shipped using the following method only:

  • Airport-to-Airport air freight

  • Transported through approved Australian freight carriers

  • Packed in accordance with reptile welfare and biosecurity standards

  • Shipped on approved travel days only (weather and airline dependent)

Live animals are not shipped via standard couriers.

✈️ Airport-to-Airport Transport Policy

  • Live animals are shipped from a nominated departure airport to a nominated arrival airport

  • The recipient is responsible for collection from the destination airport

  • Valid photo identification may be required upon collection

  • Collection must occur promptly upon arrival to ensure animal welfare

Failure to collect animals on arrival may result in stress, injury, or loss, for which Baynton’s Reptiles cannot be held responsible.

📅 Shipping Conditions for Live Animals

Live animal shipments are subject to:

  • Weather conditions (extreme heat or cold may delay shipment)

  • Airline availability

  • Public holidays and peak travel periods

  • Animal health and welfare checks prior to dispatch

Baynton’s Reptiles reserves the right to delay or cancel a live animal shipment if conditions are deemed unsafe.

📝 Special Transport Requests

Any special transport requests (including specific airlines, dates, airports, or handling requirements) must be confirmed and approved prior to order acceptance.

Orders placed with unconfirmed or unsupported transport requests may be delayed or declined.

⚠️ Customer Responsibility (Live Animals)

By purchasing a live animal from Baynton’s Reptiles, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are legally permitted to own the animal in your state or territory

  • You have appropriate housing and care prepared prior to arrival

  • You will be available to collect the animal at the nominated airport

  • You understand that live animal transport carries inherent risks despite best practices

🔄 Shipping Costs (Live Animals)

  • Live animal shipping costs are calculated individually based on:

    • Departure and arrival airports

    • Airline freight charges

    • Packaging and handling requirements

Shipping fees for live animals are non-refundable once transport has been booked.

📦 Incorrect Details & Delays

Baynton’s Reptiles is not responsible for delays, losses, or additional costs resulting from:

  • Incorrect or incomplete customer details

  • Failure to collect animals on arrival

  • Airline or freight carrier delays beyond our control
