Macquarie Short-Necked Turtle hatchlings (Emydura macquarii)

The Macquarie Short-Necked Turtle is one of Australia’s most popular and hardy freshwater turtles, known for its friendly nature, smooth shell, and distinctive short neck. Native to the Murray–Darling River system, these turtles are excellent swimmers and love basking under warm UVB light.
